She Makes My Day

She brings the sunshine when I’m feeling low
She makes all the rain clouds disappear
She creates the warmth to make my heart glow
She tells me all the words I want to hear
She makes me want to run, dance, smile and sing
She banishes away my misery
She gives me love because it’s the best thing
She makes everyone else green with envy
She makes me feel like I don’t need money
She just provides a pure heart to adore
She makes me richer than all men I see
She holds my hand – And who could ask for more?

I’ll tell it to the world, within this verse
I’ve the best girlfriend in the universe

The Fable of the Racist

Come gather ‘round children, it’s time you learned
About a man who promoted pure hate
Heed my words and this fable that I state
About a racist and the people he spurned
The man hated those different from he
He thrived on contempt and creating fear
Whilst his motivations were left unclear
Reasons didn’t matter as he could see
He got others into playing his game
He wanted all looking like him – the fool
Sharing this world was unacceptable
Black, Yellow, Brown, Red, They were all the same

He got kicked in the nuts – Enough to swell
But there was nothing to hurt – just as well!

Another Love Poem

Everything is clear. There are no mistakes
Emptiness finds a fulfilment so true
Long dormant emotions begin to wake
There is now so much to see, touch and do
And every day shall bring along something new
The sun is shining brighter than before
And this is what the heart's been waiting for
