Vandalised walls that once looked so trusting
A dim light left on for someone unknown
Sports ovals left completely overgrown
Two soccer goals overturned and rusting
Concrete slab where basketball courts once stood
Pathways going nowhere. Railings broken
Empty terrapins where words were spoken
Windows boarding up the inside for good
Locked doors where through countless students have passed
Grounds where many met, made friends, fell in love
A building with no purpose to speak of
And a skiff bin going nowhere fast
Many an education once here dwelt
Now all that’s heard is footsteps on asphalt
